The May holiday is a wonderful time to be along the Frisian coast. Rent a holiday home along the Frisian coast. Spring has sprung and everything is fresh and green. A good time for a long (beach) walk and a lovely bike ride.

School holidays and public holidays: different schools have different holiday weeks in May (depending on how Easter and Ascension fall). There is the official May holidays and the preceding week or the following week (which then sometimes coincides with ascension). Even Pentecost sometimes falls in May, but it`s usually june by then.

Avoiding the crowds is best if you come between school holidays and public holidays for a week, midweek or Long Weekend or just a few days in May.
